A Senior UNIX Systems Administrator is needed immediately for our client located in Nashville, TN area. 

Candidate will install, administer, and maintain operating systems. Candidate will also plan and coordinate or execute all activities related to systems access, security, and capacity across multi platforms; administer and develop strategy for UNIX and LINUX servers, enterprise storage arrays (EMC, Hitachi, and IBM) and Storage Network, SAN, technology.

1.      BS in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience

2.      Large scale server data center

3.      7+ years UNIX administration, with significant experience with AIX and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

4.      Understanding of Oracle administration concepts on UNIX

5.      Storage area Network configuration-SAN

6.      iSeries/AS400 administration is a plus

7.      Linux server installation and configuration

8.      Strong experience with shell scripting (Posix, Korn, Perl)

9.      VMWare experience is a plus

10.  Experience with enterprise backup and recovery software (Veritas NetBackup or Data Protector)

11.  Backup and disaster recovery planning and testing, network connectivity
