Job Description:

Senior Project Engineers are needed for client located in Anderson, South Carolina.   

The Senior Project Engineers will be experienced in Paper/Pulp or Chemical Manufacturing. The position is responsible for the specification, selection, purchase, installation, and startup support of major capital projects, to improve efficiencies, quality or expand manufacturing operations. 

Responsibilities:

1.      Executing machine design changes to lower costs and/or improve quality while ensuring customer requirements are met.

2.      Work in conjunction with Quality Assurance and Operations. Review quality and efficiency trends, track root causes of problems, and evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions

3.      Review and approves process procedures and customer specifications

4.      Proposes, negotiates purchases, installs, start up, and validates new equipment

5.      Project Management skills, prepares timelines, schedules and coordinates multiple disciplines to meet required schedules

6.      Interacts with representatives from variety of functional groups, including Process Engineers, Purchasing, Customer Service, Maintenance, Production, Planning/Purchasing, and Quality Assurance

7.       Observes all safety rules and uses proper safety equipment

8.     Follow GMP, FDA, and ISO regulations/guidelines

 

Requirements:

1.      Bachelorís Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent technical field

2.      5+ years experience in design and installation of high-speed consumer products, packaging, or web converting equipment

3.      Experienced in AutoCAD Foundation. Ability to design work and understanding drawings and recognize/make necessary changes

4.      Microsoft Office and Excel.

5.      Proficiency in Six Sigma, DOE, SPC, and other Quality related programs preferred

6.      Experience with FDA medical device regulations, ISO 13485

7.      Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

8.      Excellent analytical problem solving, attention to detail, equipment vendor management skills, and strong computer skills.
